Mench accustom to platooning

Kevin Mench is still on the trading block and if the Brewers don't find a trade partner they may non-tender the outfielder. Mench is simply too expensive for the small market team as an extra outfielder. I already profiled Mench in an earlier post and still think he would be a nice fit as a fifth outfielder. Whats very important is to find a player who is use to platooning and coming off the bench, which Mench has done.....

Last season, left field evolved into a platoon between left-handed hitting Geoff Jenkins and right-handed hitting Kevin Mench. But Jenkins was cut loose through free agency and Melvin is looking for another home for Mench, who made $3.4 million in 2007 and is arbitration-eligible. source JS Online
