Mets aggressive suitors of Redding...

Last week after Tim Redding was non-tendered, he became a very popular pitcher. Redding should thank the Nats, not only will he sign with a better team but he'll probably make more then what he would have earned through arbitration. The Mets have been linked to him from the beginning but so have 11 other teams. While it's been down played in the NY papers as a back to a back-up plan, our friend from the Torreabla episode, Trey Renck of the Denver Post reports we're one of three teams aggressively pursuing Redding.

Redding, non-tendered by the Washington Nationals last Friday, has become a popular target. The Rockies, Rangers, Mets and Orioles have been the most aggressive suitors for Redding, a major league executive source confirmed. source Denver Post
