Finally a Nady rumor

It wouldn't be the off-season without at least one rumor linking the Mets to Xavier Nady. Since his trade in July of 2006, Nady has been a fan favorite and linked to the Mets both by professionals and fans alike every time our outfield appears thin or we need a right handed bat. Apparently the Yankees are looking to move either Nady or Swisher and are hoping to land a back of the rotation pitcher. The Mets aren't parting with Niese or Parnell for a player of Nady's level and especially not in his walk year but at least we got the Nady rumor out of the way....

Xavier Nady, Yankees outfielder: The most attractive trade bait the Yankees have. He could land them an end-of-the-rotation starter. The Angels and possibly the Giants and Mets could be suitors. A return to the Pirates has been shot down. source Boston Globe
