It seems like the first order of business is to move Louis Castillo and unlike last year when he appeared buried under a bloated contract as an injury prone player on the decline, this year he appears to have value. On Monday it looked like the Cubs were interested, today Jon Heyman is now hearing the Dodgers could be looking. It doesn't seem like Castillo will be our second baseman next year, Heyman suggests Castillo for Pierre which is something I looked at in
this post. Like I said in that post, I'm not opposed to Pierre in Left he would provide solid defense and a #2 hitter but there going to have to bring in sluggers at 1B, 2B and catcher...
Minaya said some teams have shown interest in Luis Castillo. The Dodgers are one team to have spoken to the Mets. How about Castillo for his old Marlins teammate Juan Pierre? source SI.com
