Over 15 players filed for free agency from the Buffalo roster in early November, despite some of contributed to the major league club ( Feliciano, Hessman) and other contributing to a successful year in Buffalo ( Mike Cervenak, Jonathan Malo) the Mets have been slow to turn their attention towards Buffalo.
The one player they quickly resigned was Mike O'Connor, the 30 y/o left handed spent the entire season in Buffalo despite posting solid numbers and having prior major league experience. For the Bison's he appeared in 51 games ( 71 innings) posting a 2.67 ERA and recording six saves.
In winter ball he's made 18 relief appearances in which he's posted a 1.38 ERA and held batters to a BA of .212, 17 SO in 13 innings to only 4 walks. His spilts are against him but I believe that's only due to a small sample pool as he's only faced 4.2 innings of lefties and given up a run.
