Pagan progressing towards a return

Angel Pagan once again began the process of returning to the major league club by playing in a minor league game.  For those that don't rem. Pagan was a game away from returning when a set back ceased all baseball activity.  Prior to the injury the young center fielder was mired in a slump in which he was hitting .159 in 82 ABs.  Pridie has had his moments and Hairston has shown signs of life, still the potential Pagan has and the speed on the bases is a welcome addition.

"He ran great, no discomfort at all, so hopefully the recovery's fast," manager Terry Collins said.

The Mets want Pagan to play four straight days for St. Lucie before recalling him. source Newsday
