Post Game Wrap-Up: Mets Lose To Rockies Again, Fall 5 Games Below .500

The Mets lost to the Colorado Rockies tonight by the score of 2-1. It's a new year, yet same old story for the Mets. Chris Capuano started for the Mets and was very good. His lone mistake was leaving a fastball out over the plate to Chris Iannetta that was deposited over the LF wall to give the Rockies their 2nd run, which wound up being enough to win the ball game.

Once again the Mets offense was almost non existent. They only tallied 5 hits on the evening and none of them were hit very hard. They did have plenty of chances though as Rockies starter Jhoulys Chacin walked 6 hitters. The Mets left 10 runners on base, Josh Thole was responsible for 5 of them.

Game Notes:

-Ike Davis went 2-4.
-Jose Reyes went 0-5.
-Willie Harris finally got a hit as PH but was thrown out trying to steal 2nd in the 9th.

The Mets and Rockies continue their 3 game series tomorrow night from Coors Field. Game time is scheduled for 8:40 PM.
