Bring up Val...

This is not some kind of punishment or over reaction to Lucas Duda's over his pursuit of an easy ground ball to second base but more to do with his over all performance on the major league level.  Duda has looked completely over matched at the plate and there have been reports that he's struggling with confidence, he's hitting .139 with only two extra base hits ( doubles) in 15 games.  It's a small sample pool and if Duda was making good contact or having good at bats you could say he was coming around, but he looks like a guy who is never sure when to swing and not swing, having more check swings then full ones.  Couple that with the fact that Murphy provides the same if not better quality defense and I think Duda belongs in Buffalo...

Who would I replace him with, Val Pascucci especially with the Mets going to Detroit and Texas next week where he can be used as the DH.  For the last two months of the season Val has been hitting .279 with 9 doubles, 4 HRs and 30 RBIs.  Of course; Duda was just as hot in Buffalo, I just feel the Mets need to keep trying players until they can find a power source.  As far as the next six games in addition to his 449 minor league games at 1B, he also has 548 games in the outfield.
