Buchholz to the DL

After last night's game Taylor Buchholz was placed on the DL with tendinitis in his right shoulder which is said to have caused a dip in his velocity.  He hasn't pitched since May 29th when he was beat up by Philly for three runs on four hits in 1.1 innings.  Prior to that outing he had pitched to a 2.19 ERA (only six runs)  in 25.2 innings, including 25 SO and only seven walks.  The timing was perfect as it makes room for the returning Jose Reyes without the team having to make any tough decisions.

The Mets will place Taylor Buchholz on the disabled list before Thursday's game with a "fatigued shoulder," Terry Collins said. The roster spot will be used for Jose Reyes' activation from the bereavement list. source ESPN NY
