Pre-Game: Game 74 - Oakland A's VS New York Mets

The Mets and A's will play game 2 of their 3 game series tonight from Citi Field. The Mets have feel into a little rut during this homestand, dropping 3-4 so far to 2 below .500 teams. The red hot Jose Reyes has also cooled lately as he is only 2 for his last 17.

The Mets will hand the ball to right-handed knuckleballer R.A. Dickey in hopes of snapping the teams two game losing streak. Dickey (3-7, 4.00) has a 1.33 ERA with 25 strikeouts in 27 innings while winning all four of his starts versus AL teams with the Mets. In his last outing, Dickey only last 4 innings while giving up 4 ER against Atlanta.

Gio Gonzalez (6-5, 2.69) will take the mound for Oakland tonight in hopes of extending the teams winning streak to 7 games. Gonzalez is coming off an outstanding outing his last time out as he went 6 inning and only gave up 2 ER while striking out 10 Royals'.
