Mets Fans Have Hope

This morning, New York Post writer, Mike Vaccaro has the following to stay about the state of the team:

1. The Mets are on the periphery of the National League wild-card race. They are not yet what you would call in the wild-card race.

2. The Mets are on the periphery of the National League wild-card race. They are not yet what you would call out of the wild-card race.

3. The Mets aren't likely to win the wild card.

4. That isn't to say they can't win the wild card.

He also went on to say "Hey. You are allowed to hope, and you still have hope. Isn't that what this is supposed to be about?"

He is 100% right! The Mets have crept to within striking distance. Still 6.5 games back of the Atlanta Braves with three teams in their way. They still have plenty of work to do between now and September but with more than a third of the season remaining, anything can happen. Ya Gotta Believe!

Vaccaro's article is probably the most down to earth representation of this team's situation that I have seen in a long time in any major media publication. It is really sound stuff! I recommend you check it out!!
