Next Met ? Perez helps Bison's win...

Who will fill the roster spot when Carlos Beltran is traded, it doesn't seem like any of the players they receive in return will make the majors.

Power hitting 3B Zach Lutz, CF field prospect Kirk Nieuwenhuis and Mr. Glass Fernando Martinez are all on the DL, if this is an evaluation process Val Pascucci seems like a waste despite his hot hitting, we've all seen what Nick Evans and Jesus Feliciano can do.  It would probably be best to keep Rebun Tejada and Josh Satin playing everyday in Buffalo then on the bench in NY.

It's a distinct possibility that newly signed Fernando Perez could get the call up, the 28 y/o is still young enough to be evaluated as a potential major league bench player.  The right hander has the range and speed to play CF and leg out extra base hits.

The once Rays prospect had his career derailed by a wrist injury but still had enough value to be part of the Matt Garza trade.  When he was released by the Cubs he was only hitting .238, in the 8 games since joining the Bison's he's hitting .280 and last night had the game winning triple...

The Bisons wasted Batista's finest outing of the season when Pawtucket tied up the game on a three-run bomb of a home run in the eighth by Hector Luna, but the Herd rebounded in their next turn at bat when Fernando Perez's triple was followed by sacrifice fly by Mike Nickeas to give the Bisons an 8-7 win Monday night at Coca-Cola Field. source Buffalo News
