Pre-Game: Game 102 - New York Mets VS Cincinnati Reds

After losing 2 of 3 against the Marlins in Florida, the Mets head to Cincinnati tonight to open a 4 game series with the Reds at the Great American Ball Park. With yesterday's loss, the Mets fell a game below .500 (50-51) and remain 8.5 games back of the Wild Card leading Atlanta Braves. Cincinnati also has a record of 50-51, and are coming off a series win against the Braves.

On the mound for the Mets will be right-hander R.A. Dickey (4-8, 3.80). Dickey will be making his first career appearance against the Reds. The right-hander has been average in his last two starts, allowing four runs each time while pitching 13.1 total innings. He went 6.1 innings in a 6-5, 10-inning win over St. Louis on Wednesday.
