Pre-Game: Game 98 - St. Louis Cardinals VS New York Mets

The Mets will look to complete a 3 game sweep of the St. Louis Cardinals this afternoon at Citi Field. The Mets won in dramatic fashion last night as Angel Pagan hit a walk-off HR off the Pepsi Porch to give the Mets a 6-5 win. It was the Mets 3 walk off win of the year, and put them a game over the .500 mark, and 7.5 GB of the Wild Card leading Braves.
On the mound this afternoon for the Mets will be left-hander Jon Niese (9-7, 3.73). Niese will looking for his 3rd straight win, and is 6-2, with a 2.81 ERA over his last 9 starts. In his career against the Cards, Nise is 1-0, with a 1.17 ERA.
On the mound for the Cardinals will be right-hander Jake Westbrook (7-4, 5.26). Despite a + win-loss record over his last 5 starts, Westbrook has not pitched will as his ERA over that span is just 5.53. He has struggled in his career against New York, as he is 0-1, with a 6.43 ERA against the Mets.
