Schwinden strong in AAA all-star game

In case you missed I wrote this post about Chris Schwinden and the similarities to Dillon Gee's career.

Schwinden appeared to be on the verge of being called up when it looked like Dickey was going on the DL.  He's made 16 starts with a 3.07 ERA in which he struck out 81 in 93 innings while walking 31.  His first half earned him an appearance in the AAA all-star game where he retired the side in the fifth inning with just seven pitches.

Schwinden entered the game in the bottom of the fifth inning and needed just seven pitches to retire the Pacific Coast League in order. He induced groundouts to first base from Albuquerque's Trayvon Robinson and Reno's Collin Cowgill around a ground out to second base from Sacramento's Anthony Recker. source MiLB
