Pre-Game: Game 115 - San Diego Padres VS New York Mets

The Mets and Padres will play game 2 of their 4 game series tonight at Citi Field. The Mets offense saved another uneven performance by Mike Pelfrey and the bullpen as they came back from a 4 run deficit by scoring 5 runs combined in the 8th and 9th innings last night. The comeback was completed when Lucas Duda grounded a single up the middle to score the tying and winning runs. The win evened the Mets record at .500, and they will look to move a game over again tonight as they face San Diego.

On the mound for the Mets will be left-hander Chris Capuano (9-10, 4.44). Capuano is 1-3 with a 5.23 ERA in his last five starts after winning five of his previous six with a 2.57 ERA. In his career against the Padres, Capuano is 4-2 with a 3.29 ERA in seven games (6 GS).

On the mound for the Padres will be left-hander Wade LeBlanc (0-2, 4.98). LeBlanc will start in place of the injured Dustin Moseley. In his last outing July 31, LeBlanc allowed three runs and nine hits with six strikeouts in six innings while not getting a decision in an 8-3 win over Colorado. In his career against the Mets, LeBlanc is 0-1, with a 3.38 ERA over 5.1 innings pitched. David Wright is 3-3, with a HR in his career against LeBlanc.
