Evans and Pridie outrighted..

Both Nick Evans and Jason Pridie made it through waivers and have been outrighted to Buffalo.  They can both opt for free agency if they choose, but if they accept assignment they also have a chance of making next year's team.  Pridie as a defensive specialist and Evans as a RHB off the bench.  The moves free up space on the 40 man roster with the rule five draft approaching, there are now only 32 players on the roster.

Evans hit .256 in 59 games including 4 HRs, 10 doubles, 2 triples and 25 RBIs while playing LF, RF, 3B and 1B.  Against right handed starting pitchers he hit .297 compared to .172 against lefties.

Pridie was an aggressive defensive minded center fielder who seemed to take pride in shagging fly balls that were destine for the gaps. In 101 games he only hit .231 but again his asset is his glove.
