After days of uncertainty, Francisco Rodriguez has ultimately ended up accepting arbitration from the Milwaukee Brewers. As a result, Rodriguez could make as much as $14 million next season while serving as the Brewers set up man behind Jon Axford, who lead the National League in saves.
So it appears that the Mets' front office had it right when the shipped Krod out prior to the deadline last summer, while picking up a lot of his salary. The Mets took additional heat when Krod immediately forgave the contract option that saw him in line to receive $17.5 million next season from the Mets. Now however, it seems the Mets got it right.
