Video: Ramon Ramirez Beans Shane Victorino

Probably the gem of the Angel Pagan trade, the Mets acquired relief pitcher Ramon Ramirez. Since the 2008 season, Ramirez has appeared in no less than 66 games and maintained an ERA under 3.00 for the duration.

Ramirez, who will like serve as the Mets seventh inning man, is a power pitcher who averaged 8.7 strikeouts per nine innings pitched last season. Having blown 21 games last season when leading after six innings, Ramirez becomes one of three new power pitchers brought in by the Mets in the last 24 hours to close out games.

Below you will find a video from August 8th of this past season where Ramirez plunks the Phillies' Shane Victorino. It may sound bad, but anyone who throws at the Phillies can play on my ball club any time.
