James sent down

Chuck James has been re-assigned to minor league camp, it appears the lone move of cut day this week was sending down veteran lefty Chuck James.

 Entering camp I thought James had a chance of making the team since he could make spot starts and be a second lefty out of the pen.  But James never really gained any traction and the few chances he had, he wasn't that good.

Batista ended up taking the veteran leadership and long man role in the bullpen, not only did he pitch better but he's the only veteran who's eligible for 100k if he doesn't make the team.

Garrett Olson is the front runner to take over the LOOGY role in the bullpen.  James doesn't have the major league time to cost the team 100k and can therefore can be tucked away in Buffalo...
