The Mets signed 26 y/o RHP Kevin Mulvey to a minor league deal, this deal seemed to make headlines because Mulvey was part of the Johan Santana deal.

The Parlin, NJ native was a second round pick in 2006 by the Mets and in 2007 went 11-10 with a 3.32 ERA in Binghamton.

Mulvey was the player to be named later when Jon Rauch went to the Twins sending him to the D-backs.

He made 10 major league appearances between the Twins and Arizona with a 7.90 ERA in 27 innings.
