Bay has bruised ribs day-to-day

Jason Bay was inches from making a spectacular play that would have saved two runs, instead it ended up being the turning point of the game for the Giants and to make things worse he left the game with a rib injury due to the play.

X-rays were negative and he is day-to-day with bruised ribs.  It seems like every time there are signs of life from Bay he has a set back or slides back into the funk that has plagued his Mets career...


"We're kind of hoping it's just a bruise," Bay said. "I'd probably know a little more tomorrow, I'd imagine. I can't tell you how I'm going to feel tomorrow." source ESPN NY
