Francisco still the closer...

Terry Collins assured both Frank Francisco and the press that the big right hander was still the closer.  Francisco had a rough spring which was attributed to a injured knee but several times in Port St. Lucie he reassured the fan base that once the season started he would be fine.  True to his word, Francisco was dominant to start the season but now that has all come crashing down as Francisco had his third bad outing in a row and this time was pulled mid-inning.

It doesn't sound like Francisco was too happy about his early removal from the game but I agree with Collins on this move.  Francisco says he found a mechanical issue while working with Dan Warthen on Sunday and should have resolved the issue...

“It wasn’t that I was mad,” the 32-year-old explained Sunday. “If I’m the man at the back (of the bullpen), I expect that they’ll win and lose with me. That’s it. But he’s the boss. He’s the one that makes the final decisions and that’s what he did to help the team win. He made the final decision and we all left happy because we won. That’s what matters. If we win, I’m all smiles.”source NJ.com
