Mets By The Numbers

0.90:  The ERA of Mets' ace Johan Santana through two starts and ten innings pitched this season.  Good for 5th in the National League over that time.

1:  The number of stolen bases by the team through the first ten games this season. Tied for last in MLB with the Tampa Bay Rays.

2:  The number of strike outs by David Wright.  To date he is striking out one out of every twelve at-bats...a far cry from his one out of every four rate he was on last year.

2.51:  The ERA for Mets starters through ten games this season.

2.52:  The Mets' collective batting average through ten games this season.  Good for 13th in all of baseball.

6:  The number of innings Mets starters have averaged through two starts each this season.

11:  The number of home runs by the team through ten games.  Currently on pace for 176..that's 68 more than the Mets hit last season!

51:  The disparity between the batting averages of Ruben Tejada and Jose Reyes...In Tejada's favor!
