Pre-game: Game 6 - Nationals @ Mets

The Mets and Nationals face off in the rubber game of their three game series at 1:10 pm today when Johan Satnana (0-0, 0.00 ERA) takes the mound against Stephen Strasburg (0-0, 1.27 ERA).  Both still considered their squad respective aces, both Santana and Strasburg will be making only their second starts following major arm surgery, however both pitched very well in their first appearances of the season.

The Mets will look to salvage the final game of these season after a very poor effort last night in a 6-2 loss.  Furthermore, the Mets will do so without David Wright, who broke his pinky finger on his right hand on Monday and will be out for a yet undisclosed period of time.  This game, while by no means a must win, would be a very big early season victory for the team and its fan base after the severely disappointing day yesterday.

If the team can come away with the win, they would enter their weekend series with the division favorite, Philadelphia Phillies with a mark of 5-1, and regain some of the momentum they lost yesterday.
