Pre-game: Game 7 - Mets @ Phillies

The Mets head to Philadelphia this evening for a 7:05 pm start against the defending division champions Phillies.  The game will mark the start of the team's first road trip of the season, and they will start without injured third baseman, David Wright, who is still ailing from his recently broken pinky.

While nursing a one game lead over the Phillies tonight, the Mets will be looking to stop a two game losing skid when RA Dickey (0-0, 3.00 ERA) will face off against the Phillies' Cliff Lee (0-0, 1.50 ERA).  Neither pitcher will have to endure their opponents best.  In addition to the aforementioned Wright, the Phillies are missing starters Chase Utley and Ryan Howard.

With or without Wright, the Mets will need to play a much cleaner game if they hope to fair will this weekend in Philly.  They won't do well giving the Phillies offense extra outs, depleted as it may be, due to the errors in the field we've witness in the last two games.  They will need to go back to the more patient, measured approach at the plate as well, particularly tonight against Cliff Lee.
