Give Rauch credit...

I have to admit when Jon Rauch came into the game with the bases loaded and no outs with the Mets leading 8-4, I had no faith in the big righty.  I liked the Rauch signing and thought he'd be an excellent set-up man who could take over at closer if needed, but as he's struggled this season I've grown weary.

  Earlier in the week I posted that I thought the elbow maybe more of an issue then he was letting on, since he seemed to be following a similar path as that of J.J. Putz.  

So just as I'm wondering how many runs the Rays are going to score, Rauch comes in and puts together an incredible sequence.  By the end of the inning I looked like a nut driving in the car all jacked up, pumping my fist and yelling....

Nice bounce back and that's the way to shove it in us nay sayers face, keep it up.  Hopefully some of those who posted those vile comments on twitter eat a little crow and apologize....
