Mets in market for big time outfielder

According to Jon Heyman the Mets see Scott Hairston as a back-up plan in the event they can't acquire a big name outfielder.  I'm guessing Heyman is talking about a trade since there aren't any big name outfielders on the market.

No way they're in on Upton a matching package to what they would have gotten from Seattle is Wheeler, d'Arnaud, Mejia and another almost ready pitcher ( Familia).
