Mets interested in Ben Francisco

Mark Hale reports that the Mets are one of several teams including the Yankees who are interested in Ben Francisco. In a second tweet Hale reports that Francisco is evaluating which team will give him the most at bats.

The 31 y/o right hander is a lifetime .257 BA with a .326 OBP, he's stolen as many as 14 bases in a season but that was back in 2009.  Pinch runner speed, yes; lead off hitter speed, no. He's played all three outfield position but it's been a long time since he was in center.
