Mets interested on Wells on a MiLB
Evan Drellich of MLB.com is reporting that the Mets are interested in Kip Wells. The 35 y/o right hander made a somewhat successful return to major league baseball last year with the Padres. After a two year hiatus from the majors, Wells made seven starts with a 2-7 record and a 4.58 ERA / 1.63 WHIP. Wells is a long way from his 1998 1st round pick or his 32 wins with a 3.88 ERA in three seasons for the Pirates but on a minor league deal he's only depth.
