Adam Rubin reports that the Mets have re-signed infielder Omar Quintanilla to a minor league deal.
Quintanilla did a decent job last year when he was with the Mets, appearing in 29 games hitting .257 with a .350 OBP while playing ss/2b.
Caught in a roster crunch the Mets reluctantly traded him to the Orioles for cash consideration. He's no more then a AAAA player but provides decent middle infield depth.
Infielder Omar Quintanilla, who performed well with the Mets during the first half of last season, is returning to the organization on a minor league deal with a spring-training invite, a baseball source told ESPNNewYork.com. source ESPN NY
